Golf Swing: It's Kinda Like a DanceAs children, one of the ways we learned new skills was by copying from adults. So it is in golf. In fact, the PGA suggests in no equivocal terms that you pattern your golf swing after a professional golfer who is of the same height and build as yours. Here's a quote from Tiger Woods in the Golf Digest: "When I plan to go all out with my driver, I spread my feet even farther than normal. That gives me a firmer base so I won't lose my balance. A wider stance also helps me station most of my weight on my right side. One of the key to distance is keeping the upper body to the right of the ball on the downswing, and a wider stance helps me do that." Thus, cultivating the habit of watching your favorite golfer swing that club is the best way to swing better-and to become a golf professional faster! You can never go wrong with taping the PGA tours and rewinding that golf swinging over and over again with your remote. Just make sure you pick a golfer your size, which in childhood is like learning to pick a fight with an opponent our size. Oh well, the more we grow up, the more things stay the same!
